So What Else Would they Do

If your kids weren’t playing sports, what exactly would they be doing. Really I want to know. I know mine would spend more time oin front of the TV watching the plethera of mindless cartoons bombarding the many network channels. Between that, DS, DSi, Wii, PS2 PS3 and fifty other acronyms out there kids don’t have a chance unless there are organizations and leagues that pull volunteers, money and community efforts together to offer that alternative.

Now I signed up my young un and the age of 4 to play baseball, then soccer. He loves baseball, but soccer fell to the wayside the first time he got kicked by 4 other kids simultaneously ( 2 of them were on his team). The second year he played my wife and I decided that we would not simply be arm chair quarterbacks and second guess the coaches, we would step up and help. We are now in our 5th year and have even gotten some other parents into it.
Look, youo have to be there anyway, unless your tike has a drivers license and you or your spose have never been to a practice\game or meeting. Youn really don’t have an excuse, and your kids need you. This is fun, a rewarding experience, and can only benefit everyone, especially your kid. Maybe you can even influence others. You realy will. Wait til next year when one of them runs up to you and hugs you and says, I miss you coach, at a local restaurant, or school function. Debt paid. When your kid wants to play a sport find out where you can help. Don’t wait!
